According to the utilitarian theory, an action can be judged as right or wrong based on its possible outcomes. The theory states that a person should move beyond ones interest and takes into account the interest of other people. Utilitarianism states that any course of action is morally correct, which has better outcomes for the society (Shafer-Landau, 2012). During the evaluation of the ruling of the Supreme Court from this theory, it can be stated that the action is morally correct. Although, the action of intellectual property infringement is unjustified; however, imposing heavy penalty on the company will discourage other companies for incremental innovation. They will get skeptical if changes introduced by them will come under the category of copyright infringement (Garber, 2008). If the government will impose heavy penalty for the actions of management of the organization, it will be wrong for the shareholders of the company. They will suffer from decreased share value. Moreover, imposing penalty for the designs developed by the Samsung will be wrong to the company. The action is justified by the utilitarianism as it assisted in bringing the unique features and designs of iPhones to common people. It can be posited that the Apples iPhone are costly and can only be bought by affluent class. Samsung made the phones approachable to the middle class people and thus contributed to the welfare of the society (Timmons, 2012). The deontological philosophy of ethics state that the morality of action is based on a set of rules. The deontological ethics is based on certain obligations and not on their consequences. It states that if an action is right, then it is right regardless of it consequences. There are three basic principles of the deontological. Firstly, all the people must adhere to a certain morality standard or framework. If a person is following a different moral standard, then he cannot be held responsible for their actions. Morality should be distinguished to from the basic inclination or feelings. Thirdly, morality is derived from reasons or logic not from experience (Farrell, 2010). It can be reviewed that according to this deontological ethics, Samsung was a wrong doer in the situation and must be punished. Samsung copied the features of the designs of Apple iPhones. It has theft of the hard work of the Apples design engineers. According to deontological theory, a person or organization must not engage in ethically wrong actions regardless of the consequences. When the case is evaluated with this theory, it can be evaluated that although Samsung has done a good work of making technology more accessible, it cannot be considered as a morally justified action, as theft is considered as morally wrong in any morality framework (Waluchow, 2003). Virtue ethics refers to the normative ethical theory which states that an individuals character is important for ethical thinking. The virtue ethics emphasizes that an individuals character is essential in ethical thinking. It states that rather than rules or consequences, the virtues of people are important for ethical thinking. Samsung is a large multinational organization, which abides by the ethical principles and values. The business organizations follow certain ethical principles or code of conduct for ethical business (Melden 2013). They also need to abide by the government laws and legislations. However, Samsung did not follow ethical business practices. Copying the features of the Apples iPhones, the company stole the investment and the hard work of the company. Therefore, according to virtue ethics, the theft of intellectual property can be categorized as an immoral action. Social contract theory states that the morals of a person are dependent upon the contract or agreement which they form in the society they live. The contractual ethical theory is different from other normative theories as it states that an individual seek the public justification of moral principles through social contracts. It states that an individual shows or perform as particular action, principle or practice because other people are in favor of that action, principle and practice (Oxley, 2011). According to this theory, the action of Samsung is immoral as the company is operating in international markets. Therefore, it should be concerned regarding the welfare of the society. The primary stakeholders of the company are its customers which mean that the company should focus on developing positive relations with them. In this regard, it can be critiqued that the action of the company is moral when evaluated from the perspective of this theory. The company is making state-of-art te chnology more accessible to the customers. The people are able to use latest technology and derive benefits from it. To help conserve the Asian Elephant it is protected under appendix I of CITES. The Asian Elephant has been worshipped for centuries and is still used today for ceremonial and religious purposes. Although honored for its role in Asian culture and religion it is also a key biological species in the tropical forests of Asia (WWF, n.d). This animal is threatened with extinction in the wild. While the human population is increasing the Asian Elephantâ„ ¢s habitat is shrinking fast. The Asian elephant is the largest terrestrial mammal in Asia. It is smaller than the African elephant, with relatively smaller ears. Asian elephants have a single finger on the upper lip of their trunk. Only some male Asian elephants carry tusks and females have small tushes, which rarely show. A significant number of adult males are tusk less, and the percentage of males carrying ivory varies by region, from only about 5% in Sri Lanka to 90% in south India (About Elephants, n.d.). Asian elephants keep their ears in constant motion in order to radiate the heat they generate and therefore cool themselves. Only male Asian Elephants carry tusks and therefore poaching is aimed exclusively at males. Poaching of Asian Elephants for ivory and meat remains a serious problem in many countries, especially in southern India and in north-east India where some people eat elephant meat (ARKive, n,d,). The capture of wild elephants for domestic use has also become a threat to wild popul ations where numbers have been seriously reduced. India, Vietnam, and Myanmar have banned capture in order to conserve their wild herds, but in Myanmar elephants are still caught each year for the timber industry or the illegal wildlife trade. Efforts are being made not only to improve safety but also to encourage captive breeding rather than taking from the wild (About Elephants, n.d.). Incidents of elephants raiding crops and villages are also on the rise. This causes losses to human property and sometimes human lives. Retaliation by villagers often results in killings of these elephants. Experts already consider such confrontations to be the leading cause of elephant deaths in Asia. In some countries, the government provides compensation for crop damage or deaths caused by elephants, but there is still often strong political pressure on wildlife authorities to eliminate elephants near populated regions (WWF, n.d.). To help stop the extinction of the Asian Elephant there are many efforts being made. The Tax Mall is sited on the south part of the r iver Yamaha. There were approximately twenty thousand employees working on the project and they worked really hard day and even night. The architects came from India, Persia, Central Asia, and beyond to make plans and preparations. The tomb stands cross the garden from all the main gateways. It is built on a raised platform. The tomb stands in the garden and the garden in measured about 1,900 feet by 1,000 feet. The garden is a Muslim symbol of paradise.The surrounding compounds of the building, gardens and the main gateway were completed by 1653. The tomb is positioned on the southern part of the river Yamaha. The tomb is mainly made out of white marble. The building itself is 186 feet square. A large bulb-shaped like a dome is about 187 feet high and 70 feet in diameter, and it ices over the center with four other small domes surrounding on four corners of the building. On each side of the tomb stands four minaret and its purpose is to center the structure and they are about 133 feet high.The small do mes are often referred to as minarets or towers. The side of the towers there is Redstone building, which is a mosque (a building that serves as the main place for Muslims). The visitors come to the Tax Mall through a magnificent red stone gate, decorated with education from the Muslim Holy Bible called â€Å"Quart†. The gate also contains a beautiful, geometrically laid out garden on each side. The main gate is across from the tomb structure and it is 150 feet wide and almost 100 feet tall. Slightly near the tomb of Mutual Mall lies the tomb of Shah Johan who died in 1666. Both tombs are elaborately fined with semiprecious stones. Tax Mall also known as the â€Å"tomb of light. † In order to get to the tomb, a person would hav e to walk through many hallways. This is for beauty and to keep out any unnecessary gate climbers. Many Hindu followers pass through the tomb asking for blessing from the queen's spirit.After praying to the queen, they also pray to the emperor Shah Johan. According to the history, a Turkish Architect built the Tax Mall. The laborers' were engineers, carvers, artists, calligraphers, architects, and craftsmen of all sorts and a verity of common laborers. This architecture is put together of tomb, mosque, gardens, gateways, and fountains.The architect's name is unknown but it is clear that talent came from many part of the Muslim and western part of the world came together in Agar to work on the tomb. The main designer of the Tax Mall was the emperor Shah Johan, but Johan was helped by lot of other men in the world. I ts believed that the architects was an engineer and an astrologers from Persia named Mohamed, but the true architect was a mystery for the world. After the construction, Shah Johan order that every employees' ands should be cut off because Shah Johan never wanted them to built another building again.The Tax Mall, also known as one of the seventh wonders of the world, was created under the emperor Shah Johan; Tax Mall is an exaggerated building Shah Johan built this formation to celebrate his departed wife, Mutual Mall. This enormous creation is beautiful both inside as well as inside the Tax Mall. Johan also felt that the structure would help the citizens of Agar to be more pleased. Shah Johan fell into deep depression after Mutual died and Johan wanted to build something for his bellowed wife, so everyone in the India would know how he emperor felt. The Tax Mall symbolizes the love that Johan had for Mutual Mall.The Tax Mall still has effect on today humankind with tourism. Thousan ds of thousands people visit Tax Mall daily to see the beauty of the creation of Shah Johan and to see how love could have an effect on people life. People go there to see how these outstanding buildings and gardens and they also learn how Tax Mall came to be. The power of one man, it came all true by fulfilling Khan's wife Matzo's promise. The love that emperor Shah Johan had for Khan's wife Mutual has lasted for centuries.
